The guitarist and saxophonist met while studying jazz at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. Over the years, they got to know each other and experimented with different sounds. The blending of these two different characters opens the way to new worlds of sound. The duo presents a resolutely modern jazz, including compositions and standards. Energetic rhythms and gentle, lyrical moments characterise their pieces.

Later as a beat-maker he composed, arranged and recorded his first Hip-Hop songs on the drum machine "MPC". With the help of jazz, funk and soul records, he produced his own creations that quickly created enthusiasm in the national music scene.

- Villa VaubanGuided tour: In golden light. Visions of Italy by Dutch 17th-century painters17H15 (DE), 18H30 (FR), 20H30 (DE), 22H30 (EN)
In the 17th century, several generations of Dutch and Flemish artists travelled to Italian cities and landscapes, preferably Rome and the surrounding Campagna, to live and paint there.
From around 1640, some of them specialised in landscape painting. On location, the artists organised themselves into communities, the most famous of which were the Roman “Bentvueghels” (“flock of birds”). On their return to the Netherlands, the “Italians” quickly became successful, as their work stood out from traditional Dutch painting.
This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to bring together the works of all the main representatives of the long-ignored Dutch Italianists. The paintings are part of a private Luxembourg collection and have never been exhibited to the public before.
- Villa VaubanGuided tour: A stroll through art19H30 (FR), 21H30 (DE), 23H30 (EN)
With more than 100 paintings and 14 sculptures, Villa Vauban’s permanent exhibition takes visitors on a journey through three centuries of artistic creation: from the 17th-century Netherlands to Italian dreamscapes and French painting around 1850. In addition to styles, art periods and numerous masterpieces, there are small formats and miniatures to discover, as well as the spectacular acquisitions of Jean-Pierre Pescatore, benefactor of the City of Luxembourg, on the occasion of the auction of King William II of the Netherlands’ collection in 1850. The great diversity of subjects and artistic styles is conveyed at the beginning of the tour in the form of an immersive video projection that transports visitors into the atmosphere of the paintings they will discover on their stroll through art.
- Villa VaubanThematic guided tour: The Villa Vauban and its sculpture park17H30 (LU), 19H00 (EN)
The Villa Vauban, Art Museum of the City of Luxembourg, is located in the middle of a park designed by Édouard André (1840–1911), one of the main landscape artists of his time, and reconstituted in its original form. Discover the park and its sculptures during a guided tour.
- Villa VaubanDiscovery of the casemates in the park of the Villa Vauban18H00, 20H00, 22H00 (multilingual)
Remember to bring a small flashlight! The visit begins in the park of Villa Vauban.
- Villa Vauban"Coup de cœur" with Florence Ostende18H00 & 20H00 (EN)
As in previous years, each museum is offering a special guided tour called "Coup de Cœur." For this year's edition, seven external curators have been invited to present their favorite piece in one of the seven museums. Each of them has taken the time to immerse themselves in the work of their chosen museum, ensuring a thoughtful and engaging presentation.
Villa Vauban welcomes Florence Ostende, Head of Artistic Department at Mudam Luxembourg. She was previously Curator at Barbican Art Gallery, London, where she curated the exhibitions Carrie Mae Weems: Reflections for Now (2023), Noguchi (2021), Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer (2020), Into the Night: Cabarets and Clubs in Modern Art (2019), Daria Martin: Tonight the World (2019) and The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945 (2017).
